Sushi Video : How to make a RoseFunk88 Roll recipe

Preparation:

What you will need:

(The Usual)

  • Sushi Rice
  • 1/2 sheet Nori
  • Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • Wrapped Bamboo Mat
  • Sushi Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Presentable Plate
  • Ginger & Wasabi

(The Ingredients)

  • 3 pieces of Tuna 1 x 2.6 inches roughly (you can use 2 nigiri pieces but 3 will come out looking better) “looks vs convenience”
  • 3 pieces of Octopus 1 x 2.6 inches roughly (same as above)
  • 2 slices of avocado (each = 1/16 of a whole avocado)
  • Tempura (plate full)
  • Tobiko (flying fish eggs) (1tsp)
  • Scallions (1 tsp)
  • Spicy Mayo (2 tsp)
  • Kewpie Mayo (1 tsp)

(The Extra)

  • Plate (medium size)

Lets Begin!

  • Spread your sushi rice onto the nori.
  • Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on the rice.
  • Place the rice patty on a wrapped bamboo mat, seaweed side up.
  • Place 3 piece of tuna across the middle of the seaweed.
  • Place 3 pieces of octopus on top of the tuna.
  • place 2 slices of avocado on top of the octopus.
  • Grab a palm full of tempura flakes and spread it across the roll covering the ingredients.
  • Roll it.
  • Grab a plate and place enough tempura to cover the surface of the plate.
  • Place the roll on the plate of tempura and roll it around until it is covered in tempura flakes.
  • Cut the roll into 3 evenly pieces.
  • Staying a few cm. away from the edges, cut each piece diagonally across.  Make sure not to cut diagonally edge to edge  or the roll will break apart.  Leave some space to hold the roll together.
  • Arrange the resulting 6 pieces in a straight or curved line.
  • Drizzle spicy mayo across the top of the roll.
  • Sprinkle tobiko on top.
  • Sprinkle scallions on top.
  • Add a small dot of kewpie mayo on each piece. (not included in the picture or video)
  • Garnish with ginger and wasabi.
  • Eat it!
