Crunchy on the outside, Soft on the inside, Chewy center surprise

Fried Spicy Tuna is a rounded up mixture of spicy tuna, imitation crab meat, scallions, and fish eggs. Magically battered and deep fried to perfection, it forms a hard crust while maintaining a soft chewy inside. Delicious! The dipping sauce consists of spicy, eel, and soy sauce. Yummy! Try it. Super Easy.

Simple Ingredients:
- 6 tbs Spicy Tuna (find at Japanese market)
- 4 tbs Imitation Crab Meat (find at any Asian market)
- 1 tbs Masago Fish Eggs (find at Japanese market)
- 1 tbs Scallions (Chopped green onions)
- 1/4 tentacle of Octopus ((find at Japanese market)
Frying Ingridents:
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 1/4 cup Tempura Batter (mixture of 1/4 cup tempura flour 1/2 cup water, 1 egg)
- 1/4 cup Panko Bread Crumbs (find at Japanese market)
- Pot of Oil (which ever you prefer, doesn’t really matter)
Sauces:
- Spicy Sauce (6 tsp part mayo, 1 tsp chili sauce, 1 tsp sugar)
- Eel Sauce (find at Japanese market)
- Soy Sauce (find at any Asian market)
Yield: About 8 pieces
Start by placing the first 4 ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
Grab a small amount of the mix into your palm and round it up into a ball.
Place a small piece of octopus into the center and round it up once more.
Repeat until there is nomore mix.
Cover each ball with flour.
Dip each ball with tempura batter.
Cover each ball with panko.
Drop them all into a pot of oil under medium high heat (below boiling point)
Let them fry for about 2 to 3 minutes.
Cover the balls with eel, and spicy sauce.
If you have tobiko (fish eggs: find at Japanese market) on hand, spinkle some but not necessary.
Use soy sauce as dipping sauce.

So on the octopus, do you cook that first, or just put it the way you buy it?

the octopus is flash boiled quickly as whole then taken out quickly

for the sauce? what type or brand of chilli sauce are we talking about and any type or particular sugar? or are you using a pre mix?
also i asked about how to make tempura batter also. do u have a link or vid for it?
